The science

What is an autologous exosome?

Exosomes are nanosized extracellular vesicles — about 30–150 nm — that cells use to exchange biochemical signals. They help injured tissues activate repair, regulate inflammation and restore normal function.

1

Autologous means the exosomes come from the patient's own blood — harvested from their own PRP. No donor material, no additives.

2

Rich molecular cargo — messenger RNA, microRNA and bioactive proteins that influence how recipient cells behave.

3

Exomine isolates and concentrates this exosome-rich fraction at the point of care, so it is prepared fresh for each patient.

Beyond conventional PRP

PRP delivers growth factors.
Exomine delivers regenerative instructions.

Conventional PRP

A regenerative stimulus

Concentrated autologous platelets in plasma, relying mainly on a temporary release of soluble growth factors.

Exomine

Cellular communication

A purified, concentrated exosome fraction that transfers regulatory microRNAs, proteins and signalling molecules directly to recipient cells — the evolution from growth-factor-based treatment to cellular communication-based regeneration.

Signal Amplification

Delivers complex intracellular instructions linked to cell proliferation, angiogenesis, collagen production and tissue regeneration.

Matrix Remodeling

Stimulates fibroblasts and supports balanced extracellular-matrix turnover for more organised collagen synthesis.

Immune Modulation

Influences macrophage polarisation and cytokine signalling, helping move healing from inflammation to repair.

Kit components

Two-step mechanical activation — no chemicals

MICROLYZER

Initial stimulation

  • Over 3,500 microscopic blades with a 600 µm special design.
  • Gently stretches the platelet's outer membrane to awaken its natural repair response.
  • Preserves platelet viability — activation without destroying the platelets.
  • No additives, no chemicals — 100% autologous.
PRX TUBE

Continuous stimulation

  • Internal vertical lines create a vortex during centrifugation.
  • Continuously stimulates platelets for enhanced exosome release into the plasma.
  • Rich, complex cargo of molecules working in synergy.
  • Non-immunogenic and biocompatible.
Technology & process

From blood draw to exosome-rich plasma

1Blood collection tube

Obtain Blood

Collect blood and draw it into the PRX tube.

2Separated plasma

Collect PRP

Collect the upper plasma layer from each tube.

3Microlyzer

Platelet Activation

Pass plasma through the Microlyzer to initiate activation and exosome release.

4Exosome tube

Concentration

Transfer activated PRP into the Advanced Exosome Tube.

5Final exosome-rich fraction

Final Centrifugation

Centrifuge sequentially to isolate the exosome-rich fraction.

A simple, closed-system process that delivers autologous exosome-enriched plasma in just 30 minutes — no special equipment required.
Quality & characterisation

Validated by flow cytometry & particle analysis

Exomine follows the MISEV2023 recommendations for extracellular vesicle characterisation and reporting.

Clinical fields of application

One autologous platform, many specialities

Aesthetics

Dermatology & Aesthetic Medicine

Facial rejuvenation, scar remodelling and inflammatory skin conditions — supporting collagen and elastin synthesis for better tone, texture and elasticity.

Trichology

Hair Restoration

In androgenetic alopecia, supports dermal papilla activity and scalp vascularity; repeated sessions support visible density and thickness.

Wound care

Wound Healing

Supports fibroblast proliferation and keratinocyte migration in chronic or post-surgical wounds.

Orthopedics

Musculoskeletal Medicine

Tendinopathies, muscle tears, ligament injuries and early osteoarthritis.

Pain

Pain & Inflammatory Disorders

A biological approach acting on inflammatory mediators in chronic soft-tissue conditions.

Safety

Minimally Invasive

Simple venipuncture and local administration, derived exclusively from the patient's own plasma — no donor materials.
